From January to August, China produced 693 million tons of crude steel, down 5.70% year on year, and the cumulative daily output was 2.8525 million tons. The pig iron output stood at582 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.10%, with a cumulative daily output of 2.3958 million tons; steel output at 885 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.30%, with a cumulative daily output of 3.6405 million tons.
