China International Steel Week | World Steel Directory (2026) Officially Released
On September 19, on the sidelines of the 15th China International Steel Congress, the World Steel Directory (2026), compiled by the Metallurgical Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (MC-CCPIT), was officially released.

The directory was jointly unveiled by Su Buxin, Acting Deputy Secretary-General of the MC-CCPIT; Gao Yang, Chief Commercial Officer of Cargill Metals China; Qiu Yuecheng, Assistant to the Director of the Research Institute and Director of Ferrous Research at Everbright Futures Co., Ltd.; and Yuan Liangjing, Deputy General Manager of NCS Testing Technology Co., Ltd.

苏步新在讲话中表示，钢铁工业国际化发展是“十五五”时期的重要任务。中国钢铁工业积累的发展经验与技术，与高质量共建“一带一路”沿线国家和地区的需求高度契合。近年来，中国钢铁工业“走出去”成效显著，据不完全统计，目前海外已建成投产项目总产能超2700万吨，海外在建项目总产能约3000万吨。然而，长期以来，钢铁行业缺乏系统、全面的世界钢铁企业名录，钢铁产业国际产能合作者无法全面了解全球钢铁概况。在此背景下，中国贸促会冶金行业分会编写了《世界钢铁名录（2026）》，希望通过该名录的持续推出为全球钢铁产业的合作共赢搭建更加坚实的信息桥梁。
In his address, Su Buxin noted that advancing the internationalization of the steel industry is a key task for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. The development experience and technologies accumulated by China‘s steel industry are highly compatible with the needs of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation with countries and regions along the routes. In recent years, China’s steel industry has made remarkable progress in the “Going Global” initiative. According to available statistics, the total production capacity of completed and operational overseas projects has exceeded 27 million metric tons, and the total capacity of overseas projects under construction is approximately 30 million metric tons.However, for a long time, there has been no systematic and comprehensive directory of global steel enterprises in the industry, making it difficult for participants in international steel production capacity cooperation to fully grasp the global steel landscape. Against this background, the MC-CCPIT compiled the World Steel Directory (2026). It is hoped that the continuous rollout of the directory will build a more solid information bridge for win-win cooperation in the global steel industry.
据悉，《世界钢铁名录（2026）》是迄今为止收录范围最广的全球钢铁企业信息工具之一，覆盖亚洲（暂未收录中国大陆、印度）、欧洲、非洲、北美洲、南美洲、大洋洲的80多个国家和地区，收录了400余家钢铁生产企业。每家企业的信息涵盖中英文名称、公司地址、企业简介、营业收入、建厂时间、当前运营状态、主要生产装备、产能规模及主要产品等。从日本制铁、浦项制铁、安赛乐米塔尔等世界级钢铁巨头，到非洲、东南亚新兴市场正在崛起的钢铁企业，均被收入该名录，系统展现了全球钢铁产业版图。该名录面向全球钢铁行业从业者、贸易企业、投融资机构、工程技术企业、高等院校及冶金领域科研机构，为读者开展国际市场调研、寻找合作伙伴、投资决策提供一手信息支撑。
According to reports, the World Steel Directory (2026) is one of the most comprehensive information resources on global steel enterprises ever compiled. Covering more than 80 countries and regions across Asia (excluding the Chinese mainland and India for now), Europe, Africa, North America, South America and Oceania, it includes over 400 steel producing enterprises.
Information for each enterprise includes Chinese and English names, company address, corporate profile, operating revenue, year of establishment, current operational status, main production equipment, production capacity and major products. From world-class steel giants such as Nippon Steel, POSCO and ArcelorMittal, to rising steel enterprises in emerging markets in Africa and Southeast Asia, all are included in the directory, which systematically presents the global steel industry landscape.
The directory serves global steel industry practitioners, trading enterprises, investment and financing institutions, engineering and technology enterprises, institutions of higher learning and metallurgical research institutes, providing first-hand information for readers to conduct international market research, seek cooperation partners and make investment decisions.
